Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the rendering of respiratory care and associated diagnostic services ordered by and in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcareteam.
• Must be able toestablishand maintain a patent airway in residents/patientsexhibitingrespiratory difficulty.
• Makes routine rounds toascertainthe comfort andwell-beingof residents/patients receiving respiratory care.
• Responds promptly to all unit calls requesting respiratory care services.

• Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as, usage ofmonitoringdevices, performing bedside pulmonary function studies, setting up various respiratory equipment and ventilators, tracheotomy care, etc.
• Documents appropriately in medical record, and on various departmental forms asrequired.
• Assembles, cleans, and disinfects respiratory care equipment used to perform his/her duties.

Salary: $46.0455 per hour

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• NBRC Registered FDNY G-17 Bulk Medical Gas Certificate of Fitness

Education:

• AAS Degree in Respiratory Therapy

• Administers all Respiratory Care Services in accordance with policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
• Responsible for rendering respiratory care and associated diagnostic services ordered by and in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
• Round routinely to ascertain the comfort and well-being of resident
• Performs necessary diagnostic, manipulative, and therapeutic procedures, sets up equipment, and performs other duties as necessary.

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $46.0455 per hour
